Careers Information Advice and Guidance
On behalf of Cumbria County Council Inspira provides careers information advice and guidance for young people with an EHCP from year 9 upwards. We work closely with schools and colleges to support transition planning, the help we provide is bespoke and tailored to meet individual needs and we welcome the involvement of parents. An Inspira Adviser would meet with the young person in school in advance of their EHCP review, in meetings, our role is to advocate on behalf of the young person and family. Inspira works with a range of providers and agencies to ensure that we can support young people and their parents/carers to prepare for adulthood.

- job applications

- work experience support
- skills for employment support
- preparing for job interviews.

Find a Traineeship - A traineeship is a course with work experience that gets you ready for work or an apprenticeship. It can last from 6 weeks up to 1 year, though most traineeships last for less than 6 months. |
